Whistler and Blackcomb mountains both have areas designated just for kids. On Whistler, there is the Children's Learning Centre, an area specifically designed to help children learn the basics of skiing, while also keeping them in a safe enviroment. Also, there is the 'Treefort', an adventure zone built to break up a skiing day with a different type of fun. For those more advanced, there is the Chipmunk Terrain Park, where children can start to learn how to do jumps and tricks.
Blackcomb mountain has the Magic Castle, a huge area where many children can quite happily spend their whole day. It consists of numerous groomed trails, for them to ski at their leisure. The Magic Castle also has, you guessed it, a castle, where the children can play all sorts of games. There are also a few zones, cordoned off, to keep beginners (whether children or adults) safe and in a controlled enviroment. Like on Whistler, Blackcomb also has an entry level terrain park called the Big Easy Terrain Garden, where children and adults can both learn the basics of jumps and rails.
